I have Soooo many playlists. So many. They're categorized by feel: angst, falling in love, action, sexy, and a few other miscellaneous ones. Lately my inspiration is Matt Nathanson's album Sings His Sad Heart. Songs help get me in the right headspace for certain scenes, or get my creativity flowing. I know a lot of people need silence to write, but I need background music.

I'm currently rewriting and editing my novel Unexpected Lanes. I'm also working on a new paranormal romance book featuring shifters.

Keep writing, keep reading, keep learning about writing. One of my favorite resources when I'm feeling low is Chuck Wendig's A Damn Fine Story. Persistence is my main advice though. Reections will happen, they're part of the process. Keep trying. Keep polishing your query letters. You've got this.

This is tough. Writer's block is relatively rare for me. I try to write something every day, but when I do take a break, getting motivated to start again is my real challenge. Usually I find blocks for me stem from a place of insecurity. I try to take some time out to relax, take the pressure off, and read some of my work again to remind myself I /am/ good enough.
