Stephanie Street Yes!! They are!! And that should be the last time I change them...
Stephanie Street Hi Esther,
I've had some other commitments pop up that I need to work on still. But KBB is my next project. I plan to have it out sometime this summer. I'm glad you are looking forward to it! I'm so excited for Cam's story!
Stephanie Street The Basketball Billionaire had to get put on the back burner for another project that had a deadline. However, it will be my next project and I'm hoping to release it this summer.
Stephanie Street Inspiration comes from all around. Experiences with my kids. Shows I watch. Books I read. My own life experiences with relationships. All it takes is a little seed of an idea and characters are born. Once that happens, I become invested in their story, like they deserve to have it fleshed out and written down. So weird, I know, but that's the truth.
Stephanie Street I don't deal with this much, but when I do, it is a good idea for me to step away from everything for a day or two and just let everything percolate (my term for all the thinking and planning I do in my head while doing the dishes or taking a shower). I cannot be creative if my environment is a mess. So I organize a closet or rearrange furniture and voila, ideas come to me.
Stephanie Street I can work in my pajamas!
Stephanie Street I'm still an aspiring writer! But my best advice, I think, is to realize no one writes a perfect book. Ever. There will be typos. There will be plot holes. There will be any number of mistakes, no matter how many drafts you write. Don't hold back from writing because you can't get it perfect on the first go around. Write something, put it out there, see if anyone likes what you've done. Maybe wait until you have some experience before writing your best idea that you have.
Stephanie Street I'm currently working on the second book to my new series Eastridge Heights Basketball Team. I'll be following Noah Jacobs, who was introduced in the first book "Dating: One on One". Noah struggles with a perfection complex. I came up with this idea as I've watched my own teenagers. I have one who couldn't care less and one who blows a gasket over one missed point on a test. I think it's important with all the pressures teens deal with to know it's better for their health to live somewhere in the middle of all of that. Try your best, work hard, and if you make a mistake learn from it and move on rather than let it ruin your life.
So Noah will be dealing with some of those issues and hopefully his story will be fun to read.
