My mother instilled the love of reading in me. I would read all the time. One day in junior high school I decided I was going to write a book. Next thing I know I had written my very first romance novel. Being that young I really didn't know much about romance, but I gave it a whirl.

I actually had writer's block for a little while and then my 18 year old son surprised me with the news that he had gotten married. Not only did he get married but had been married for a month. I was so angry that I just sat down and started writing. I didn't stop writing until I felt better. By time I was done. I had written Jericho.
