Marc Stevens Nick,
I am currently working on the manuscript for book six of the First of my Kind series. I wish I could give everyone a firm time on its release, but due to family obligations, my usual work periods are being divided amongst more important matters. The best estimate will be some time in the spring of 2023. I will try and keep everyone posted in the event that timeframe changes.
Take care and stay healthy.
M.S.
Marc Stevens Sorry Nick, I have no date at this time.
Marc Stevens Harold, I am still working to finish the manuscript. I hope to have it complete in the coming months. Thanks for your interest in my work. MS
Marc Stevens David, unfortunately you will find little mistakes throughout my last book. I had promised it by spring and it was in possession of my editor for several months. She resided in Illinois and was in the epicenter of the country's Covid-19 outbreak. She contracted the virus and notified me she was unable to edit my manuscript and returned it to me. Rather than search for another editor and delay the book again for an undetermined amount of time, I went ahead and ran it through spellcheck (worthless) one more time, and released it as is. I am writing my fifth book and as I find out the mistakes in #4, I am correcting them and will do an update to the files when I decide I have caught most of the mistakes. MJ
Marc Stevens Yes Doug, Tantor Media has given me a release date of on or about October 27. Thank you for your interest in my work!
Marc Stevens Thank you, Paravia for bringing this to my attention. Amazon does not automatically add books to your author page when you publish. They eventually get around to it, but it is more efficient to do it manually. Thank you again, I appreciate the heads up. MS
Marc Stevens Zane, I would like to answer your question, but have no clue what a Shieldcad is.
Marc Stevens Hey Chase, I am still working on book #3 and unfortunately every time I seem like I am making good headway something pops up and divides my attention. It will be sometime after the first of the year before the next book will be complete. It is a penalty I am paying for opening my mouth and speculating on my completion dates. I am going to try and avoid doing that in the future. The only other way to keep tabs on me is my occasional post on facebook. I have little patience for the social media platforms available to me and have warned one and all I rarely post. authormarcstevens@facebook.com
Marc Stevens Paravia,
I hope to have the manuscript for the sequel finished by the end of the year, possibly a little sooner. When I released First of my Kind I did so without having an editor go over it. I recently hired one and will release an edited version of First of my Kind and then as soon as I complete the sequel (For the Good of All) will turn it over for editing as well. Hopefully it will not take the editor very long and you should see the new book early next year.
Marc Stevens I don't recall thunder storms being this violent or frightening so late in October. I sit terrified in the darkness staring out my window as each new flash of lightening reveals yet another headless corpse on my doorstep.

Marc Stevens Steven,
the tube fed weapon on the Zaen battle armor is basically a glorified grenade launcher. Why throw a grenade when you can launch it at distances from very close (several times dangerously close) to very far. He has explosive shotgun slugs and explosive bullets as well. I was thinking he already had enough munitions that go BOOM. There is a very good possibility Nathan may come up with a new smart grenade in the near future that will have some interesting capabilities. MS
Marc Stevens I am sorry it took me so long to get back with you sir. Social media has never really been my thing. My daughter set this up for me and I try to check the site every day or so. To answer your question, I have never served in any branch of the military. I am a civilian who owes you and the other hero's of this country my deepest respect and undying gratitude for your service. I tried to hint at all branches of the service in my book. You are one of the few who have picked up on the little hints here and there. Thank you very much for reading the book and again, thank you for your service. M.S.
Marc Stevens The idea for my current work "For the Good of All" is the continuing story of the first book. I left a lot of unfinished business in "First of my Kind" and there is plenty of room for additional story lines.
Marc Stevens It was easy to be inspired to write after seeing the surprising success of First of my Kind. The reviews and encouragement from friends and fans are what drives me to continue writing.
Marc Stevens The sequel to First of my Kind. I left a lot of open story lines in the first book. I am about 50k words into the second book, "For the Good of All"
Marc Stevens Chris, I have a full time day job that keeps me busy (and tired) but I have hopes of getting the sequel out in early 2018. First of my Kind has only been out since the end of June and is just now getting recognition. If it continues at its current pace I am seriously considering devoting more of my time to writing. If this comes to pass there is the very real possibility of having "For the Good Of All" out before the end of the year.
Marc Stevens The same thing any writer will tell you. Don't get discouraged. If you truly want to write it will come to you. I had a lot of friends that thought I was nuts when I told them I was going to write Sci-Fi. I just laughed with them but never stopped writing. Don't try and rush to get something on paper and get it published. Trying to hurry your imagination along with a future deadline in mind, can end up putting a cork in your bottle of creativity.
Marc Stevens You have the freedom to express your imagination on paper. At the end of my book "First of my Kind" I asked readers to leave feedback because it is encouraging for a first time writer to see if someone enjoyed your book. (Good or Bad) I also left a quote at the end and hope it has not been written elsewhere. It is a steadfast belief of mine. "Encouragement fuels the imagination and imagination is the father of creativity."
