That's a hard one, but I'm going to go with the world of The Borrowers by Mary Norton. Ever since I was very young I have been fascinated by the idea of navigating the world from a much smaller point of view. I love the idea of making everyday necessities and wondrous things out of the detritus of our "big" lives, transformed by scale.

A sequel to "Noah the Narwhal" is actually already in the works!
Additionally, I have 4 or 5 other projects in various stages of on-their-way-to-first-draft: from exploring the lives of some of Noah’s undersea buddies with other disabilities to a book focused on one of my favorite neighborhood creatures, the underappreciated slug. We'll see what makes it to fully formed!

"Noah the Narwhal" is actually a semi-autobiographical book, despite being about a horned sea mammal! I didn't see any picture books that reflected my experience (and the experience of so many other people) living with invisible disabilities, and I wanted to change that. I have suffered from a chronic invisible disability since I was a child in the form of chronic migraines. I have spent the last two decades figuring out how to build my life around unpredictable debilitation: how to interact with the world and the people in my life in effective and positive ways. It has also been an ongoing process for my loved ones. In writing “Noah,” I hope that I can help others with similar conditions to feel less isolated, and provide insight those who make up their communities. That's how "Noah" was born!
