I just decided one day I could write a book (after someone thought I wrote another book because the author name is the same). So I just thought I should give it a whirl. When I finished, or at least when I got close, I started googling and researching like crazy. I found out so much in a short time it was overwhelming. It made it easier and harder all the same. In the end, I was able to produce ebooks and paperbacks (even though I thought paperbacks were out of my league). Each book is its own process and learning curve but it gets easier as I go along.

DisasterInLove, I'd say came from my dating life many moons ago. I was on internet dating sites, blind dates, work dates you name it I had it. Before I met my husband dating was awful! So while I was writing my first novel I thought wouldn't it be funny to do a book about life's dating disasters? So I decided just for fun I would write it and see where it took me. Maybe it will be novel length or maybe it will just be a fun short read for my fans and fellow dating disasters who know exactly what it feels like. Wondering if they will ever meet Mr. Right.

I am an imaginative person, but I am among the writers who treat her characters as living breathing beings. They inspire me from the day they decide I need to write their stories. My mind is full of ideas all the time and new stories come out of the craziest situations. I am also a write what you know writer. My books are FICTION. Let me repeat I am a FICTION writer, but I have an understanding about things happening to my characters in some way. Something about a scenario may have happened to me or I have been exposed to it. I tell my friends and family that if it happens in front of me it might end up in a book. I ask people questions while I'm writing to see how a person will react in a similar situation. That gives my writing a real feel and not a far fetched imagination of a writer perspective.

Well after I wrote Dangerous After Dark, I knew I wanted to write 2 additional books in that series. They are all standalone novels and can be read alone. I'm working on the second book in that series Dangerous Calculations. This is the story of Trish and Brian.
Then just for fun I'm writing a book called DisasterInLove. The idea for this book came to me while I was writing Dangerous After Dark. It is a RomCom about a girl who has the worst dating life EVER! She has to go through the worst dates you can imagine. I can't wait for you to read that one!

Just write! Don't over think it. Get your ideas on paper in anyway you can. Even if you just take a paper and pen with you everywhere to allow your writing, characters and thoughts to escape.

I would say allowing the voices in my head to escape. I had no idea the true sense of accomplishment and how cathartic it can be to just put down on paper my thoughts. In this case, my characters are screaming to get out next and fighting for my attention all the time. Being able to release them into the world of readers is an amazing feeling.

Honestly, I try not to let it bother me. When I don't stress about it then it comes easier. I want the characters to tell their story not me telling it. So when I let them out of my head and give them their freedom it tends to just flow. If for some reason I just can't crack through a section that I know needs to be elaborated on, I will skip to a section that I know how to write or know where it is going already. Then when my juices are flowing I can go back and write the blocked section with ease.
