H.K. Lune I don't really get writer's block. There are times when I'm at a loss for what happens next, however; that's when I shift to thinking about my options and what'll be best for the story. I can think my way out of any slowdowns.

H.K. Lune I actually don't need much to get inspired. My ideas power my writing.
H.K. Lune The one I'm currently writing is a sequel, so I suppose the idea(s) came from the first book!
As for the New Tales from Old Yarn anthology, I originally planned to do an Irish myth—just a different one. The original story was based on the tale of Sadhbh, but I decided not to continue it. The fire wasn't there, so I switched topics.
"Clockpunk and the Vitalizer" draws from The Cattle Raid of Cooley, one of Ireland's greatest epics; I knew about it, read up on it further, and the ideas flowed from there on in.
