When we moved into the house where we currently live, my husband started having surreal, vivid dreams about a ghost picking him up (whether it be out of bed or out of his chair in the living room) and repeatedly slamming him to the ceiling then to the floor. Over and over! He'd never experienced anything like this in his life. Very freaky! We've been in the house fourteen years, and while the dreams have thankfully become very infrequent, they still occasionally occur. We talk about investigating the background of the house and the property, but it's one of those things we simply haven't given priority, especially now that he isn't bothered by the dreams. Always makes me wonder thought... like a Poltergeist situation. Let's certainly hope not!!

She sank deeper and deeper in the murky water, the darkness engulfing her, the wretched liquid filling her lungs as the weight of her clothes drug her down. Giving in to the inevitable, she tried to calm her mind rather than scream and rage at the unfairness of it all.

So many wonderful choices, but I'd have to say Donna Grant's Dragon King world. The passion and intrigue with the Dragons, the Fae, the Warriors, and now the Reapers is astounding. I'd definitely work closely with the Kings, helping to guard their secret while still living in the modern world.

I usually have 2-3 stories playing around in my head and on my computer, so if I'm at a standstill with one, I'll turn to another. When I am just not feeling it, I'll step back. I'll open my Kindle and lose myself in a story while I walk on the treadmill.

Crafting a story and having someone say, "I loved it!" Or even when revising, I'll reread my story and it'll cause me to laugh or catch my breath; and I think, "Wow, I wrote that."

If you truly feel passionate about it, just write. Write what YOU want. Practice discipline, because it's easy to push it aside and say, "I'll get to it." GET TO IT.

11/2020 - I've completed my story I'm writing for the Cocky Hero Club world, as well as edits for my release in Dec with Evernight Publishing. I'll start to work on two stories next: a summer themed romance for an anthology that will be released in June; and I'm going to attempt a short story for an anthology call with a theme of 'reluctant bride'. *fingers crossed the creative juices flow*

Many answer 'everything inspires', and it's true. I take past experiences and work them into my writing. I add in experiences I hope to have one day, or even a twist on a dream. I want my readers to simply enjoy a laugh, an emotion, an interesting turn of events.

"Keyed Up" is about a proper and somewhat sheltered young lady, raised by her famous pianist father, who is striking out on her own. I thought it'd be fun and a challenge to write about her finding independence, while also coming face to face with her first love of ten years ago. I love music, listen to it every day; and I played piano, percussion, and cornet when younger. I wanted others who aren't so involved in music to get a small glimpse of an individual whose world revolves around music, while also handling whatever life throws at them .
