Carol Hedges Place behind on chair. Place fingers on keyboard. Write. Do this every day, even if you only end up writing a couple of sentences. And read and read and read. I've met few writers who weren't avid readers. Just enjoy writing, and have reasonable expectations: you won't make squillions -- that's the precious few, and most of what you read in the media is exaggerated.
Carol Hedges The best thing is making up stuff in your head! And then writing it down. It's like having control of your own world...and sometimes, that 'thing' happens when the story just pours out from somewhere and a couple of hours pass by unnoticed in a kind of writing time-machine.
Carol Hedges I find the only way to deal with it is not to acknowledge it at all! I keep on writing, and take the story out for a long walk somewhere which usually sorts it out.
