Lori Handeland My husband and I spent the night at the Pfister Hotel in Milwaukee. Before we went to bed I looked over the in room coffee pot to see how it worked because I’m always up earlier than everyone else in the family.

The next morning I see there is a napkin spread out with the packets of powdered creamer, sugar and stirrer in a row on top. I ask my husband why he did that since I don’t take anything in my coffee. He says he didn’t do it, the maid must have. I point out that I checked the coffee pot before climbing in bed.

The hotel IS haunted.
Lori Handeland Hi, Bucky,
I'm so glad you loved the Shakespeare Undead books. At this time I have no plans to write a third but never say never . . .

Thank you!

Lori Handeland This summer I read Harlan Coben's latest, Elin Hilderbrand's, Jennifer Weiner's and I just started I'll Be Gone in the Dark, which is freaking me out.
Lori Handeland I always wanted to live in the Little House books. I would pretend to be a pioneer woman for a day and then go home for the indoor plumbing and Keurig.
Lori Handeland When I woke up I discovered there was no coffee. Then my car wouldn't start.

Lori Handeland There's always a chance, but nothing schedule at this time. Thank you!
Lori Handeland Hi, Rachel,
I hope so. It takes quite a bit of time and money to produce an audiobook. I have done two so far for my novels Reese and Second Chance. I plan to start looking for a narrator for this series some time this year.
Lori Handeland Hi, Coleen,
For the books published by New York publishers, the art department and the editor put together the cover, with input from me on what I'd like. Though I do get to make suggestions, they final decision is theirs.

For books I publish myself I tell a cover artist what I'd like to see, pick the models, the color scheme etc, and then she puts together a cover, which we tweak until it's what I want.
Lori Handeland I put my fingers in my ears and hum whenever I hear those words. Can't afford it, won't do it. Shhhh. I just keep writing. Anne LaMottte said it best "shitty first drafts." Anything can be fixed. Just write it.
Lori Handeland Being in the book business--meeting writers, editors, readers--talking books. Just knowing my job is BOOKS. How cool is that?
Lori Handeland Write every day and keep writing. The only way to fail is to quit.
Lori Handeland The third book in my witch sister trilogy to be released in 2015. No title yet. Got one?
Lori Handeland I don't wait for inspiration. I go to the computer every morning as soon as I get up and stay there until my page count for the day is written. Some days it's good, some days it's not, but I've discovered I can't fix an empty page.
Lori Handeland Right now I'm working on a trilogy of books about 3 witch sisters. My editor at St Martin's Press actually had the main idea "3 witch sisters" and I went from there.
