If I am really struggling for inspiration and on a deadline for an article, I'll change my environment. I write mostly at home in my trackies, which is oh so glamorous! If I'm stuck I change something, I might go the park, walk to a beach or a cafe and then try again.

Write all the time and then learn what needs to be read. When I put together 'UnEdited' I printed out all of the stories I had written, placed them in groups all over my living room floor and then chucked about three quarters of them in the bin. Write and write and write more, to discover what needs to be read.

I've been writing a BLOG for a little while now and I noticed that particular stories met with great reception. Mostly celebrity interactions and life fails by me. This was the bare bones beginning of what has evolved into a mini memoir about my decade in Australia media.
