Thank you so much for your enthusiastic response to my novel. There is no single page on my website that features photos of all the characters, but maybe I need to consider that. My blog has featured entries on all of Without Warning's principal characters, which include photos of them, some from public sources and some from the families. You might also try Googling images of the characters (which I haven't tried). Glad you liked the book.

What inspires me is a desire to know more about a particular person, subject, or situation. If this discovery process becomes increasingly intriguing, then I begin to think of it as a subject to write about. I guess that's just my journalism background

That's easy. My grandmother was a passenger on the last voyage of the passenger ship "Athenia," when it was sunk by a German submarine at the start of World War II. She survived and later wrote a 14-page account of her experiences. I read her account 70 years later and it became my inspiration for my historical novel, "Without Warning."
