I'd pull up a seat around a well-worn wooded table in a preternaturally old Yoknapatawa County, Mississippi, cabin, where a few of Bill Faulkner's alter egos would have gathered to listen to " the best of all talk," before heading to bed for too little sleep then awakening to take part once more in a ritual hunt for a mythical bear nobody wanted to kill because in doing so they would be killing part of themselves.
