I got the idea for The Missing Piece from a story in Greek mythology. The story says that humans were created with 4 arms, 4 legs and 2 heads. Zeus was threatened by the human's power, so he split them in half, dooming them to wander the Earth in search of their other half. When I read the story, something just clicked inside of me and I started writing.

I write what I feel, and what feels right. If I think too hard or try to force an idea, it doesn't go well. But when something randomly pops into my head, and it feels right, I just go with it.

Right now I'm working on a few different projects. I have 2 YA fantasy novels in the works, but I'm also taking a leap into a new genre with my third project. At this stage they aren't nearly far enough along to discuss in detail 😂

Keep writing. Even if you feel like what your writing is terrible, even if you feel like nobody will ever read it or like it, just keep writing. No matter how many times you hear no, or that you can't do it. Don't listen. Just write.

It gives me the opportunity to get my thoughts and feelings out. It also allows me to be creative. The beauty of writing is that you can create literally anything using only your mind and I find it exhilarating.

To get past writer's block, I pick up a book and read. Nothing quite gets the writing juices flowing like reading a work of art by someone else.
