I like to immerse myself in places that remind if of Ashwood - the fictional town where my book series lives. When I hike on a trail, ride a ferry on Puget Sound, or visit a taproom I come away with fresh insights that end up on the page. I rarely have a specific story outlined, but instead I create a character, put that person into a situation and try to let the story unfold.

I'm searching for the perfect cover to set this series apart from the In Ashwood titles. Don't worry, there will be more from Ashwood. I’ve tried to redefine the writer’s block as a signal that my creative side just needs a recharge. I’ll change my playlist, take a walk, read a book, or empty the dishwasher. If I’m still stuck, I’ll switch gears and try to find the perfect shot for my next book cover.
