Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?

Emily Critchley I wanted to write book about a dysfunctional family. I thought I might write different sections of the book from different points of view but once I started with Lou I loved her so much I knew the whole book would be in her voice. I knew Notes on my Family would be Lou's story.

Emily Critchley I go and make a cup of tea and hope the next sentence appears whilst the kettle is boiling.
