X and Aly's story came about in a funny way. I was SO ANGRY at my family. I don't get angry easy anymore, and so when I do I have a hard time dealing with it. Honestly, I just wanted to go and curse someone out which is SO unlike me. I decided to write a character who says whatever he wants so I could. Hence X. The first two pages or all my thoughts. Just venting. Then my good side came out. Aly. Soon enough it was this beautiful story I never intended on creating. In fact, I was working on another book to publish at the time when this one took over unintentionally.

It took me years to understood this is my passion and outlet. Now it is needed for my sanity and is a way for me to get the darkness out of my head and turn it into something beautiful (I hope!).

Saving Them! BY FAR the darkest book I've ever written and probably as dark as I will ever go. My heart is breaking for Alexa and Rex. I can't wait to give them the life they deserve! <3

WRITE! Write what you love not what you think people want. My mind can be dark and what I write is so contradictory to what I am like in real life. However, once I let go of my fear of judgment writing came easy.

I don't really get writers block per say. My head is always spinning with stories and ideas. HOWEVER, sometimes I will want to write something and just can't get it out properly. It can be frustrating, but I usually step away. I hike, do yoga, work, just go live life. I think all the time. Usually by the time I get back I am ready to finish... or maybe I just work on other books until I'm ready to come back to that one. :)
