D.K. Hood The interaction with my readers and being able to share my stories with the world.
D.K. Hood Learn your craft. Rushing in and sending a manuscript that isn't ready only leads to disappointment. Make sure the person you are submitting to actually publishers/ represents the genre you write. Most of all there is no such thing as an "Overnight success" it often takes years to find a publisher/agent. So never give up.
D.K. Hood Book #5 Kane and Alton series. Set in mid-winter, I have come a full circle in Black Rock Falls. I love writing about these characters and hope I can write many more stories about them.
D.K. Hood Life inspires me to write and my wonderfully supportive readers.
D.K. Hood I watched a number of programs highlighting the problem of child abuse, which many people ignore in our society. I wanted to bring awareness to the dangers of children in chat rooms. How vulnerable they are to pedophiles. It was a hard subject to write about but I made sure not to add any graphic details and leave what happened to the imagination of the readers. I hope if I save one child from a monster it would be worth the sorrow I went through writing this story.
