I have done a lot of research into the family tree, and, when I found my 5 x Gt Grandparents, and their story - I knew immediately this was the story I wanted to write.
It IS a fascinating period because very little seems to have been written about it.
With respect to the story, I knew that the facts as history records them were not a viable story, but they made fantastic "hooks" to tie a story around. What I like to think I have written is the story of WHAT SHOULD have happened to the protagonists.

Writing "The End" when I finished the first draft. I knew it would need rewriting, but I had MADE A START!
Perhaps luckily for me, I don't find editing too painful. Time-consuming and laborious, of course.
