I turned 50 and decided since I had lived more than I will, I better get going on writing a book! I always thought I would write a fiction book first...but then turning a certain age became the impetus for writing this book. Funny how things turn out! I love that I wrote about aging. I interviewed over 200 other women experiencing aging and it was a wonderful way to meet some pretty awesome women!

Daydreaming and then writing down my ideas. I think too much sometimes...but I do find that I have many inspirational ideas inter-mixed with all of the other thoughts going on in the day! My task is to sort through the minutia to find and remember the inspiration!! People's stories inspire me...

I am hoping to begin another book about women and aging that includes photos of women as they age. I would like to tell their stories.

Cliche...but don't give up. I also think having a person help you to keep going is important. Someone who will gently keep pushing you to meet deadlines or to create deadlines. Schedule time to write much like you would other appointments during the week.

I love capturing ideas, thoughts and stories in writing. I feel most creative when I write. I also like that it allows me to take stories and add beautiful words to bring them alive so the readers will actually feel what is going on within the story.

Often times it means I need a change of scenery. I will pack up all of my gear and head out to either a library or coffee shop.
