Alessandro Caleri When i reach a dead end in my story and i don't know how to keep going, i give myself a break, so i can read good stuff, watch movies and travel (the beach helps allot) to restart my creativity and think the way my characters would do it.

Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?

Alessandro Caleri The idea to write Synapse was born from the fact that we are so connected now to our phones, tablets and computers more that ever, technology and connectivity has become so important that gives you power, confidence and relevance. So i imagine how would it be if there is some kind of device that gives someone infinite knowledge and power to become that person a deadly weapon or a hero.

What’s the best thing about being a writer?

Alessandro Caleri The best thing is that you are able to create worlds with complex cultures, traditions and ideologies. Also characters that evolve from the struggle to a better self, inspiring the reader to be more.

What’s your advice for aspiring writers?

Alessandro Caleri Keep reading and studying about what you are writing, it will enrich your work.

Trust in yourself, trust in your process and be patient, nothing good happens in a blink of an eye, at least not in real life.

Never give up.
