I try to go to sleep or stay asleep. Nothing says fun like being extremely tired and the moment you crawl off to bed and your head hits the pillow, a thousand thoughts come flashing into your head about the story you're trying to write. You can try laying there and hoping you'll just fall asleep but I've found that I'm better off just dragging myself back down to the computer and writing down all the things going thru my head so I can actually go back to bed and fall asleep.

I just plow on thru it. Seriously, you write something down on the page even if it's crap. You can always revise something bad and something bad is always better than a blank page.
