I remember being a very young child when I first felt enthralled and excited by a story, (Indiana Jones.) All I ever wanted to do after that was to create my own characters and story twists and turns and put that feeling in others. It took me a long time to get there. When I write a plot twist and a reader lets me know how it has moved them in a positive way, I feel relieved, even if it's just for a moment.

Whenever I'm not writing, or being creative in some way, or whenever I'm not working towards my author goals, I have nagging guilt that eats at me until I sit down and get back to work. I find the inspiration to be the easy part so far, It's making the time to act on that inspiration that challenges me.

I enjoy having creative control over an entire project and I like that I am solely responsible for all positive and negative aspects of my work. I also value having a creative outlet where I can explore ideas and questions that seem to endlessly repeat in my mind.
