K.B. Rainwater Figure out how much you can reasonably write per day, or per week, and commit to that. Be flexible as things come up, but do your best not to get out of the habit. This doesn't mean you have to write 1000 words a day. As little as 300 words a day can get you to a completed novel in a year. Or write 2000 words every Saturday, if that's what works for you. The author who writes 100 words a week is going to finish their novel sooner than the author who spends all their time stressing about the fact that they don't have four hours a day to dedicate to writing, and never writes a single page.
K.B. Rainwater My current WIP, BRING ME THE HORIZON, is a m/m historical paranormal romance about two pirates who find love on the high seas.
I'm also working on the final edits to BITE ME, a m/f contemporary paranormal romance about a human martial arts champion and a three-hundred-year-old vampire pirate. (No, the vampire doesn't know either hero of BRING ME THE HORIZON, but he is acquainted with their son.)
K.B. Rainwater I was upset at the MC for his behavior in the previous book and wanted to punish him.
