The most important advice I can give to an aspiring writer is this, never give up on yourself. Life will sometimes get in your way of writing, but never stop. Just remember, if Stephen King gave up on his first book we wouldn't have 'Carrie'. He had thrown away that manuscript and his wife told him to keep writing it, he believed he could do it and the rest is history. Never stop believing in yourself.

My inspiration comes every day. I just love to write. There are days where life tends to get in the way of writing but I try to make up for any lost time. My biggest inspiration though is my wife, she is also an author. I had struggled for some time trying to finish my first book and she told me to let it come out, don't try to shape it, just let it flow. I had been working on my first book for nearly five years but couldn't get pass the first three chapters. After she told me this, I finished it within a month. Inspiration sometimes comes from unexpected places.

Right know I am finishing a story that has been with me for a few years, The Island at the Edge of Forever. It is a side project that popped up and over the last couple of years I work on it between my other books. It is a sci-fi, fantasy about some shipwreck survivors. They land on an uncharted island that shouldn't exist somewhere in the south pacific. From that point on things begin to get stranger and stranger. This one I should be finishing within the next couple of months and sending to the editor.

The Books of Sholvaiel series came from some dreams that I had several years ago. I started writing down what was happening and the story took on a life of its own. Each of the characters developed on their own in my imagination until they had their own world.
