Jennifer Lynch My latest book is called Shades of Kefalonia although it hasn't been added on here yet. It is available as a small kindle book. I wanted to write a small meditation book about the chakras. I went on holiday to Kefalonia in Greece in September and while I was there I wrote a different meditation for each colour, everyday! It was a fantastic experience being inspired by nature. The book was written spontaneously. Parts of it were unplanned but I was motivated by the surrounding landscape. Take a look at the book and please give me some feedback if you can. It will soon have the addition of some fabulous spiritual art. Watch out for this in January.
Jennifer Lynch My mother Gillian Kaye inspired me to write. She wrote 33 novels and a lot of them were published by Robert Hale. You can find her on goodreads, I have reviewed some of her books, the ones that I have read. I have to confess I haven't read them all but if you like historical romance - my mother's books are a brilliant read. Some of them are very popular and you can borrow them from libraries. Please do this to keep them in there. Her dedication to the written word has definitely rubbed off on me.
Jennifer Lynch I've just finished Shades of Kefalonia which has just been put up on kindle as a free book for a week. It's been doing really well. I would like to expand it and make it into a little paperback sometime but for now, I am working on an audio version of the book which will be ready within the next month.
Jennifer Lynch Give it a go. Don't ever think that someone won't want to hear your words. I think its good when you have written something to have a few friends read through it first then put it up on kindle. If It is popular, you can always make a paperback version later with Create Space. I'm a big fan of self publishing. I believe getting your words out there is the most important thing. It's a good idea to get help with editing if you can because too many typos can put people off. Take your time. there is no hurry. I would say draft it, get friends to read it. Come away from it for a few weeks, then go back and look. Things will then jump out at you, that you might have missed. Leaving gaps to assess is really important but in the end you will have something great that people will love to read.
Jennifer Lynch Being creative - have an abundance of ideas and being able to follow through with them.
Jennifer Lynch I leave it for a while and come back when I feel inspired. I find it best to wait for new inspiration.
