Mark Kloss There were a few separate things that led me to Game Hunter. I love the atmosphere and history of the ancient City of London. It's extremely busy during the day, however, as it's a trading city, the nights are empty and so full of darker possibilities. I've always considered a zombie someone who used to be as normal as an egg on toast, trapped inside a terrible disease. Therefore, they should have similar rights to any other sick person.
Things that inspired me in this area were Warm Bodies, 28 Days Later and I am Legend.
Mark Kloss Nobody specific, they are a composite of the many friends and associates I have over the years been fortunate enough to be with, as well as the books and films I have enjoyed.
Mark Kloss The best thing about being a writer is the creation of your own world, where you can laugh, shout or cry for each character and see how others enjoy your world just as much.
Mark Kloss When someone feels totally different from another person, group, animal, plant, and so on, it's usually because they have no understanding of it. For example, if cows could talk and show emotion we could understand, would we still do what we do to them? Mixing and communication is the all-important ingredient needed to bring about an understanding that blows away the false and sometimes deadly ideas. And lastly, there are those amongst the human race that have almost nothing but bitterness and hate. It is not confined to any one group. Whites against whites, blacks against blacks, yellow against yellow, Christians against Christians, need I go on? Unfortunately, all have more powerful guns than ever before. And even more unfortunately, the standards of education are lowering.
Mark Kloss I think discover which genre you most enjoy and find easiest to write in, read other successful books in that genre, enjoy your own story and write a lot, then get readers you can trust to critique the work and keep writing and improving. The key is persistence.
Mark Kloss You know what it actually had never crossed my mind but as I am also at that similar age, I totally know what you mean! For zombies and us (haha) it is as though what the mind wants to do the body can no longer quite catch up with.

I have heard it said that that the less you do the older you get, rather than the other way round, so I keep working on putting that into practice... let's see how that goes!
Mark Kloss I am currently working on book one of a new series called Universal Games. I hope to get it to the editor next week!
Mark Kloss I just find something else to do, and by the time I come back to it I will feel refreshed and inspired again!
