I don't fight empty space... even the remotest bit of an idea will find the space... but if you fight the so-called block you'll miss those snippets of ideas. Go for a walk... take your camera with... by the time you've taken the third pic you'll have seen something fresh! Simple...

Ideas come from all around - past experiences often spark memories and those intertwined with fresh thoughts are the beginnings of new stories... then I just let the flow go and often the story resolves themselves.
I've learned not to force a story. If it doesn't work at first I will shelve it and then, sometimes weeks, months or even years later something will trigger the completion of a story... simple!
