Nancy Widrew "It's mine," she screamed, grabbing for her locket. "And you'll have it," he said, "only first you have to beg."
Nancy Widrew I'm giving a shot at having a part two to my soon-to-be-released first novel, Something Down There. I'm trying different approaches so I don't know how (or if) it will work out yet. I also just finished a short story because I think it's good for the imagination to have different things going on.
Nancy Widrew Tough question. Sometimes I force myself to write, even if it's garbage. Setting aside a particular time frame and sticking to it helps. Also I found it's helpful to have a few projects going at the same time. It can even be in the same story. For instance, sometimes I write a paragraph different ways in case I'm not sure what direction I want the story to go.
Nancy Widrew I actually went into a noncommercial cave in West Virginia years ago (such as in the one I wrote about). While there were others with me, I felt very vulnerable and developed a slew of "what-if" possibilities for a novel.
