The idea came from some characters I was working on for an illustration competition. I wanted them to be an odd-couple in a sense, but kindred spirits and having adventures. For Albert, one of the most unkind things I could think of doing to him was to not let him celebrate his birthday. However, Grandma Z was going to be the enthusiastic nudge to Albert's less-than-ideal situation. Together, I think their worlds change thanks to their imaginations.

Write. Just do it. No matter how bad, or cliched, or shambolic you think your writing is, do it anyway. Don't even let fear of your work not being any good cripple you in to never trying.
