Right now my focus is on the third and final book of the Taking Flight Series. It is my goal to have it completed within the next six months but with two young boys and a full time job that requires a great deal of attention, I don't have as much free time as I wish I did to have it ready as soon as I would like.
Beyond that, I am also working on a more light-hearted project for those that love romance but may not be into the darker side of the genre. Plus, I like the idea of having work that can be read by a larger group of people (i.e., my grandmother)

Well, funny you should ask. The idea for my first book Doves and Demons wasn't so much of an idea as it was a circumstance I was going through where writing turned into a much needed outlet to help cope with the way my own life was crumbling down around me on account of some pretty horrible events.
While of course there are many parts in the story that have been exaggerated for the sake of storytelling, so much of who I am and what I've been through was told through Charlotte's character.
With my own marriage turning out to be nothing I could have imagined, it was was sadly quite easy for me to identify with this woman who tries so hard to stay strong amid a series of events that threaten to weaken that very resolve that would normally keep her going.
And of course, everyone needs a knight and shining armor, right? Well, that's where Deklan comes in. In my mind he's a little bit Tom Hardy, a little bit Josh Duhamel and a lot of every fantasy I used to have where someone would battle my own demons as selflessly as Deklan seems to do for Charlie.
As a huge fan of suspense novels, crime shows and love stories (quite the combination, I know) it just seemed right to turn this project into the series it has become. Doves and Demons, no matter how it is received by the public, will always be a turning point for me, as it was the first time in years that I took a chance on my own happiness.
