Stormi Lewis It's a story that I started writing when I was in middle school. When I was trying to find my path of what I was supposed to be doing, my friends kept insisting I write again. So, when I was talking to someone trying to figure out what to write about, I laughed and told her the base of this story. She got so excited and said, "I would SO read that! You have to write that!" I started the next day.
Stormi Lewis I find that when I'm the most relaxed is typically when I'm the most inspired. So, basically right before bed. LOL! I try not to force it. If I do, it's never nearly as good as if I just let it flow on its own.
Stormi Lewis Well, I just finished the first book of the trilogy. I feel like I need to get it published and out before I start on the second one. I need a break to take pride in what I just produced! So I will most likely enjoy other author's creations until January or February before I start working on The Protector, where Sophie will find out why she was chosen, how she became "different" and who the man with the cane is.
Stormi Lewis Just get started. Don't worry about if anyone will read it or not. Fear is so eager to stop you, so prove it wrong. Write anyway. Even if it's just a paragraph a day. Write!
Stormi Lewis I have the freedom to share some really great stories that would otherwise go untold. It's freeing, and brings me great peace, especially during the chaos going on right now with COVID-19.
Stormi Lewis Usually taking a break and walking away helps me best. Sometimes I have to leave the house completely, and go run some errands. Or you'll find me dancing around my living room blaring my headphones to most likely the 80s. But typically I have to at least walk around the block and talk myself through whatever issue I'm having. That can help free up my mind when I'm trying to figure out a complicated plot gap, or whatever I'm working on.
