I got the idea when I was preparing to deliver weekly devotionals through the Advent Christmas season. As I gazed upon the nativity scene, I suddenly became aware of all the people traveling in the birth narrative. Then I recalled all the various records of those that went on pilgrimage toward the Christ. Why, even the practice of advent is a coming to Christ as you journey closer to Christmas.
