What books are on your summer reading list this year?
Lynda Rees I'm having a Jana DeLeon binge this spring. I especially love her books in audio. The Cajun characters are extremely well done. The books are suspenseful, kept me guessing, amusing and lovable.
I just downloaded her latest, The Reckoning and Deep Fried Revenge
by Lynn Cahoon. I'm also reading ebooks like mad, lots of favorites.

How do you deal with writer’s block?
Lynda Rees I hope I never face it, but when I do, I'll figure that out. I've learned many techniques from fellow writers.

Lynda Rees Working on something I'm passionate about and being able to do it anywhere.

Lynda Rees Join a community of writers, ask question, listen, learn and take as many classes as you can to perfect your craft and learn how the industry works.

What are you currently working on?
Lynda Rees I'm finishing up my first children's chapter book, co-authored with my granddaughter Harley Nelson. Stay tuned for Freckle Face & Blondie, coming soon.

How do you get inspired to write?
Lynda Rees Writing is like breathing for me. I'm always inspired. Everything around me brings intriguing ideas my way.

Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?
Lynda Rees In Gold Lust Conspiracy my idea came from a ghost and call girl walking tour of Skagway and a gold mining excursion. I fell in love with the history and mystery of Alaska while touring the area. There are many unanswered questions about how events came about, and my conspiracy theory answers those to my satisfaction and plays on the passion of the hearty folks who settled that frontier area.
