The most exciting thing about being a writer is creating something that others feel is of value. Whenever I look at Kindle Unlimited and see someone is reading my book I feel a tremendous amount pride and satisfaction. All it has to be as a single person to make it all worthwhile.

I wish I could tell you where I get my ideas from. I just seem to let my mind wander and let my creative side take over. I think I do my best creative thinking driving to and from work in the car. The key is to not have any boundaries when it comes to your thoughts. That is why I like writing fiction so much. You can take the story whatever you want to go. If you end up going to the wrong place you can fix it. The possibilities are endless.

Writing is something that can't be forced. Ideas need to flow from you and not to you. If you've hit a brick wall, put your project down and start something else. It's always good to have multiple projects going on simultaneously. Don't worry about it. You'll get through it. It just takes some time.

After finishing The New America, I had enough material to write a prequel. I also had some ideas for sequels. But before I started on those projects, I got another idea for a crime thriller about a serial killer. So I put The New America series on hold and started a new project entitled The Divinity Complex. My goal is to finish it by the end of March. I'm really excited about it I can't wait to share it. I don't want to divulge too much now but trust me it'll be worth the wait.
