V.M. Karren Show up to work. Push through the word fatigue. Kill cliches. Cut away the excess and publish just the essence, but most importantly, Show up to work. Your book 'aint gonna write itself.
V.M. Karren I find that when I write something down, record an experience, describe a scene, my brain processes it in a different way. Being an active observer of not just a bystander enriches my life and understanding of nature and human nature alike.
V.M. Karren I am half-way done with the first draft of the sequel to The Deceit of Riches. It is not a re-run of the first book, but a sequel. I got some nice reviews from readers on my first novel, but I also got plenty of criticism. I have listened to the critics and I am working to improve my writing, so the stories can be better enjoyed. I'm having more fun writing this book than the first as I learn to improve and refine.
V.M. Karren The Deceit of Riches wrote itself. Through my college years I was a fly-by-night and perhaps I was more naive than I realized. I got myself into some pretty frightening situations that I never told my mother about...until this book was published. To write this story I just had to ask myself the question, "What would have happened if I had stayed in Russia?..."
