What was your ChildHood Like? Did you Always Have this Drive to Write?

Nyki Mack Hi Jay, good question. My childhood was crazy, I was a tomboy and extremely competitive. When I was not climbing trees or driving my family bonkers, I was always writing, drawing, scribbling and doodling on anything I could get my hands on. I was one of those people that would draw mustaches, goatees, etc on all the photos in the sears catalogs and magazines. As a teen and even now today I am a pen magnet, I have pens galore everywhere, and I always seem to need to buy pens every single time I go to the store. So I think it is safe to say that I always had the drive, I just wish I would have realized it was I wanted earlier in life. It is never too late to follow your passion though.

How do you deal with writer’s block?

Nyki Mack Sometimes you just need to walk away and come back with a fresh set of eyes, or in this case thoughts. I am always writing down plots, ideas, verses, and anything else that comes to mind. Always writing, even if it is just ideas for something else tends to always trigger something that allows me to tackle where I am blocked.
