John Russell The mystery of the "falling star" written about in my first book, "Riding with Ghosts, Angels, and the Spirits of the Dead."
John Russell I get inspired to write by the factual realization that if I don't plant my butt in the chair and type, words are not going to get written! Seriously, one of the best things I ever read was an interview that quoted some big name writers, and they all said that if you wait for the muse before you begin to write you'll never produce a word, but that if you show up to do the work every day you'll find the muse starts appearing too. Writing is work--hard work--so we authors have to be willing to do it, to put in the work.
John Russell Realizing that---through my published book---that long after I'm physically gone my voice will still speak, through my words, in the heads of my readers.
John Russell While living in NY I was approached by a major production company to film a TV pilot for The History Channel. The producer became my friend and we worked together to pitch additional projects. He suggested I begin a blog and write short posts about my hundreds and hundreds of paranormal experiences, so that we could use my blog as a promotional tool. Around that time I began to experience an abundance of supernatural manifestations while riding thousands of miles on my motorcycle, and I incorporated some of these events as blog posts. Thereafter I realized that these stories were so incredible and so important that they had to be expanded on, and I gathered them together and wrote my book, "Riding with Ghosts, Angels, and the Spirits of the Dead."
