The best thing for me at this point about being a writer is the mental release that I get from writing. I also find satisfaction when people tell me they think my book is good. Start keeping a journal first. If you are not currently working on a degree, take a continuing education course in writing or go to the library and start reading about writing. That will jump start your writing career.

That is a good question. I have actually finished a novel. However, it is not really a sequel to Glory...the Hair. It is fiction. I have to polish is and get it edited before I submit to agents. I am also working on two nonfiction works.

I usually like writing early in the morning or late at night. I find that the words flow better. Sometimes when I feel passionate about current events that really gives me even more motivation to write.

I started writing what I believe was a series of books back in 1998 or so. I went to an editing workshop to get help revising my books. I found out that fiction writers get one idea at a time. The editor taught me how to flush out my characters and GLORY..THE HAIR is the result.
