Liz Haske When we moved from Indonesia to Bulgaria, Worry became a regular visitor in our home. I did what I normally did and went in search of a book that would help us through the transition. I was surprised when I didn't find anything we could connect to. About a year later I got serious about writing and the story was just there, ready to be shared.
Liz Haske First and foremost, I am a HUGE reader. I eat, sleep and breathe books. Seriously, sometimes I lean my Kindle on the bathroom sink and read while I brush my teeth. I love words and I love to tell stories. Because of this, I have always wanted to write books, especially for children. I hope that my work will empower readers to be their most courageous selves.
Liz Haske Several things, actually. I am in the process of working on a draft for the second book in the Worry Series, Worry Moves On. I am also working on a realistic fiction piece that is based on my third grade self.
Liz Haske Just start writing...collect ideas wherever you go. Nurture stories and don't worry about it being perfect or publish worthy. That will come later. You have to work through the process and give it time. Write about what matters to you and not to just fill a hole in the market.
Liz Haske I take a walk. Walking helps me clear my mind and brings my ideas back together. Some of my best work comes after a walk outdoors.
