Otherwise, I sometimes do the reverse, and put a character or characters into my 'real' world. What would they be like in the life I'm living?
By asking myself these questions, I often create random scenarios, that can help, or I can use. In any case, it is fun and can help with creativity, even if only indirectly.

A short(er) story that is related to the 'dissent' book series. As well as a main storyline, I will be writing shorter spinoffs. This particular one is called Morrigan, and is more specifically about one of the characters from the 'dissent' world.

The idea for the dissent book series, was derived from two fascinations. Firstly, my interest in ice ages, and what may happen if we entered a new period of a similar climate. Secondly, the nature of the world around us, and events that are happening every day. I sort of blended the two concepts together. How would a society like ours cope in a new ice age.
