Kacey Kells Please forgive me for the LATE answer...

I didn't mean to become a writer... and I'm still not sure whether I should consider myself as a writer...
Writing this book was a way to heal, I didn't intend to publish it... but my counselor at the Rape Centre convinced me, saying that it could help people to understand....
Kacey Kells I'm not sure I can or should answer this question: I only wrote one book yet, and it is only recently that it was published.
But I can try to explain what is the best thing about writing!
Actually, when I write I feel like free; I can (rather easily) overcome my fears and shyness. I'm free from my inner constraints, and I like the feeling!
Therefore, I would say that writing is more than an act of freedom: writing is freedom!
Kacey Kells Well, my ultimate goal was to testify, to say what it is like to be a victim of sexual assault and to explain (this is terrifying!) that the worst comes after the assault. Rape isn't an ordinary crime, because it devastates a person's life. You feel scared and can't control your panic attacks, you feel like trapped and helpless, and you can't tell anyone about what is happening with you. I believe that in a balanced society everyone is given a chance to live happy and fully, regardless her/his gender, age, or skin color. There should be no room for such crimes.
