Hi Margaret. When I see your name, I know what genre's review will follow. It puts a smile on my face to recognise what each reader prefers. And with your record of reviews, one also know that you do have expierence. The cold... it's strange, but it seems that Gauteng has the same cold as here in Eastern Cape this time around. According to the weather forecast, Jhb is colder than the Karoo today. And it snowed there. We had snow all around us in the mountains, but not in Middelburg town. But yes, your anthracite heater is a winner. With loadshedding, we either use the fireplace or a hot waterbottle on my lap. And always, when i'm furious with Escom, I remember there are many people who has neither, not even blankets. Thanks for making contact, and happy reading!

Ah... to put your stories into words. It is also wonderful to create your own unique characters. Not always that easy, but you can bend them as you are writing. Lastly, you can convey a message, growth. If your reader can identify with a character, it can even help your reader to overcome something he/she is struggling with.

Do a writing course. Make contact with writer groups and learn from their expierence. And then: write! Practise makes perfect. If you can get a mentor, it will help.
