Don't listen to anyone who tells you that being a writer is hard. Or that writing a book is hard. Or that you can never make a living from your writing. Don't give up. Show them wrong. Nothing in life is easy, you just need to decide if you want to spend yours doing something that's hard and you hate, or something that you love so much that you made it easy.

More than writer's block, I believe in procrastination. When I don't write, it doesn't happen because I don't know what to write. I have my novels all planed. I just don't find the will to sit down and write.

Real life inspires me. I can hear a weird sound coming from my neighbors' house and start thinking about a new story immediately. Recently I've dreamed about the start of a new book, in a completely different genre. Inspiration is in every corner. You just need to know how to look.

In Helpless I just wanted to introduce some of the most important supporting characters in the Wyverton Series. I also wanted to write a book about finding love again, and Alicia gave the chance I was looking for.
