My idea for KEEPER OF THE WATCH came from my love of wearing a watch, and always needing to know what time it is...even while I'm on vacation!
My Dad was the same, and when my family lost him unexpectedly three years ago, I was inspired to write a book about a watch.

I am currently working on an adult sci-fi novel tentatively titled 'Beneath the Waves'. I have about 46,000 words written, so it's approximately halfway finished.
One of the main characters in the story is a marine biologist who specializes in great white shark conservancy. She follows a great white named 'Baby' and discovers a small metal-like object wedged inside the shark's mouth.
Not too far away, a school teacher finds the same thing washed up on a beach. She calls it her 'trinket'.
A young gamer's dog finds one while frolicking on the beach. He calls it a 'medallion' and hangs it on his dog's collar.
A retired police officer has one in his possession and calls it his 'good luck charm'.
When circumstances throw them together, they discover the small objects all emit the same kind of power...

Don't give up! It'll never happen if you do, but it just might if you keep at it. The road to publication is full of stress and rejection, even for the best of writers. It's not an easy road, but in the end, it's worth all the effort you put into it.

I love writing fiction! The best thing about being a fiction writer is using your imagination. I get to become an inventor (at least in my head.) I have so much fun creating characters, towns, weapons...you name it!
