Ten years ago I was happily dating a much younger man. I was infatuated with him. One afternoon he pocket dialed me. I listened and heard him rough housing with a young boy. The boy was crying and begging him to stop hurting him. I listened and did said nothing. The boy was fine, but I had such guilt for not yelling into the phone for him to stop hurting the boy. I broke it off with the younger man and never told him why. I couldn't help to think, 'what if the boy had died?'
