Chas Williamson When I was a child and going through a particularly rough time in my life, a special gift was on my porch one day. That gift gave me encouragement and to this day, I have no idea who put it there.
Chas Williamson Yes! Today is the release of Homecoming in Paradise AND a bonus, I released a novella today, Hayride in Paradise. Hayride continues from Homecoming in Paradise involving an English-Amish Romance. Homecoming in Paradise is a Sweetheart Romance. If you like slow-burn courtships, dramatic reveals, and soulmate bonds, this book is one you'll adore! I'll be answering questions about my new books for the next two weeks.
Chas Williamson The world around us has endless possibilities. I see stories in almost everyone I come in contact with. I watch the way people interact and their emotions they wear on their sleeves. For example, if I see a young couple, my mind develops a story about how they met and fell in love. People's emotions often provide a vision of their life and my imagination takes it from there. An example of this is a couple that we met on a monorail ride. The husband and kids were exhausted, but the lady's face shone with happiness. Why was she so happy? What brought her to this moment in time? I will never know for sure, but my imagination fills in all the empty spaces.
Chas Williamson My writing style is unique. I don't use outlines. I don't have specific plot twists planned. They just happen. When I reach an impasse, I force myself to sit down and keep typing until I am inspired. Many times I have to go back and remove what I wrote when I wasn't inspired. For me, perseverance is the key.
Chas Williamson Never give up! I wanted to write since I was 8 years old. I had times when I pushed that dream to the back burner, but it always returned.

The second piece of advice is to learn as much about your craft as possible. For example, the rough draft of my first book, Seeking Forever, was 113,000 words. We whittled it down to just over 50,000 words. Instead of being upset that so much got cut, I used the opportunity to better my writing skills. My last book, Stranded in Paradise, was almost in the final form when it went to the editor.

The third and final piece of advice that I feel is important above all else...
is to believe in yourself and your abilities. Do not let others convince you that you are not good enough or talented enough to write.

Cheers,
Chas Williamson
Chas Williamson When I was younger, I was entranced with J.R.R.Tolkien's Middle Earth. I would love to see Lothlorien and meet King Celeborn and Queen Galadriel. I would love to sing and dance with the Elves in the moonlight.
Chas Williamson The best thing is being able to use my creativity. I get to create characters, places and events as I imagine them. Also, I bring my characters to life so that they are not a two-dimensional name on a page, but are instead intriguing individuals that my readers can vision.

Thanks for asking! Currently, I am working on the fifth installment of the Paradise Series. It is tentatively titled, "Christmas in Paradise", and is the sequel to the last book, "Stranded in Paradise". This saga follows the Lapp side of the Paradise community.

I particularly enjoy the personalities of my main characters, from kind and gentle Aubrey to the quick-witted and comical Leslie. When you read this new book, you will recognize some of the characters from previous books in the series. I hope you enjoy reading the Paradise series!

Chas Williamson My wife and I were on the subway system in NYC. This crazed man accosted this young lady sitting across from us. We motioned for her to sit with us, and the man left her alone. She departed and we never heard from her again. Months later, I recalled this event and pitched it to my wife and my publisher as an idea for the opening chapter of the next book and received two thumbs up. Stranded was born.
