Maura Rose I can't let Viktor be the only Sokolov who gets entangled in danger and romance! The answer is yes, there is another Sokolov Bratva book in the works--and it will indeed feature Ivan. After all, Viktor left him in quite a pickle. ;)
Maura Rose I flip it the bird, and then I go on one of my drives. I allow myself room for me-time, and it helps keep those blocked moments at bay. You just have to keep writing, even if it's just one or two or a hundred words per day. That's how you get the upper hand on the dreaded block--by showing it that it can never win. Because as long as I write down that one word a day, I'm still writing. So ha-ha, take THAT, writer's block!
Maura Rose Being able to work without any shoes on. :)
Maura Rose Never give up! I know that's what everyone says, but there's a darned good reason everyone says it. If you threw up your hands and quit after reaching your first (or second or tenth or hundredth) stumbling block, you'd never get anywhere. The only way to get somewhere is to KEEP GOING. So keep going! Make mistakes, cry, yell, pound the desk--and then learn and move forward and keep writing down those words.
Maura Rose I am preparing my second novel--a sports romance--for ARC and publishing in November, and I am also working on two WIPs: one about a sexy badass bounty hunter, and one about the (lust-filled) clash between a billionaire and a trailer park gal.
Maura Rose I love taking long, solitary drives down back-country roads. Many times, it's just because it's cheaper than therapy--but I have found that during these solitary moments, when I am humming along with a tune or just listening to the cabin noise as I cruise, THAT is when inspiration strikes.

Either then, or at 3:00 in the morning when I wake up needing to pee. Inspiration is a strange beast.
Maura Rose Growing up in California, you hear a lot about Hollywood--and many of us have Hollywood dreams. As we all know, too many people with Hollywood dreams end up living a nightmare trying to find a way to the top. Underneath all that glamor is brutality. I wanted to write a story about a sassy, smart woman who made her Hollywood dream come true on her own terms (and oh yeah, a hunky guy always helps matters). That's how Craving My Costar was born.
