Writing poetry is second nature to me. What's challenging is editing. What inspired "Inspire Me: Raw" is life, love, nature and how change affects our daily lives. We are either fighting change or accepting it.

I don't fight my emotions and intuitions. Whatever comes to mind is written and then edited. If any sentences don't fit the story but I like the line, I'll save it for another poem or book.

Whenever I have writer's block I read poetry written by other writers. Meditating on specific phrases or stanzas help clear the block. When this fails I move to an activity I enjoy.
