Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?
M.C. Cairns This series is a combination of my love for mythology and folklore and my love for my daughters. They are my true inspiration in life.

How do you get inspired to write?
M.C. Cairns I have always been a writer in some form. The biggest push for me was when my husband told me it was what he always thought I should do.

What’s your advice for aspiring writers?
M.C. Cairns Sit down and write. There will be doubts. There will most likely be tears. But there will be days you absolutely love everything you write. Keep working. The more you write, the better you will get.

What’s the best thing about being a writer?
M.C. Cairns Sharing the world in my head with other people and having them love it as much as I do.

How do you deal with writer’s block?
M.C. Cairns I deal with writer's block by switching to research. I find if I read more about what I am writing the juices start flowing again.
